If they will be in a crate during the move, make sure they are used to this. If they are going to someone’s house during the day of the move, make sure they are comfortable with that person.

For your window treatments, make sure they are not too long or a choking hazard if there are cords dangling. Window screens are essential if you have a big dog that likes staring out the window. If your dog is looking out an open window without a screen, they may escape. Putting a bench or chair right by a large window is also a good way to help your pet get used to the surroundings of your house.

6. Petscaping Your Yard
